The TOP 10 E-cigarettes and vapes of Year 2021
E-cigarettes are sometimes called “e-cigs”, “vapes”, “vape pens” and “electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS).” E-cigarettes can be simple and complex. There are so many kinds of e-cigarettes on the market, some for senior players, some for beginners, some for common users... There were many vape brands, kits and devices had been launched in 2021, many e-cigarette users or beginners may find it’s hard to wade their way through the myriad choices. What helps is that to narrow the criteria.
So today we are going to tell everyone which are the best e-cigarettes for smokers to buy. E-cigarettes have the potential to benefit adult smokers who are not pregnant if used as a complete substitute for regular cigarettes and other smoked tobacco products. So for someone who wants to switch to a healthier life, we have ranked the top 10 best e-cigarettes or vapes for you.
The Novo series of pod kits from Smok has been among the most-recommended options in best vape kit lists for long time. The reason is pretty easy: they perform really well but strip things down to the very basics. This makes these kits especially good for beginners, and the Novo 3 becomes the top 1 of best e-cigarette list for continuing in the tradition of the series pretty nicely.
With an 800mAh battery, the Novo 3 provides a good balance between portability and battery life. Refill with nicotine salt e-liquid and you'll have enough for a day. It's hard to fault the performance of such a simple system, all you need to do is refill through the hole on the side of the pod and start to vape, the flavor and steam generation are great.
2.Eleaf Mini iStick 2 with GS Air 4 Kit
Eleaf has been around for an age and have produced some classic vape gear including the legendary Pico series, the iJust 21700, the powerful Invoke and of course the iCare range of pod kits.
So has the Eleaf Mini iStick 2 benefited from some major updates or is it just a bit of a facelift?
Firstly–the battery capacity is the same as the original but the output has increased.
The original had a Variable Voltage output and the max wattage was 10W. However the new version has Variable Wattage and Variable Voltage adjustment from 1-25W / 1-5V.
Plus there is now a USB Type C port which will recharge the 1050mAh battery in around 30 minutes at a fast 2A charge rate.
Also the screen has changed location – on the original it was located on the top of the mod – but for this version it is now mounted on the side of the mod below the fire button.
Activation is either by pressing the fire button or you can use the auto draw feature which senses the vacuum as you inhale and switches on the fire operation automatically.
The Drag S from Voopoo is another pod-to-mod style device on this best e-cigarette list, offering the convenience of a pod system e-cigarette with mod-enabled features. A leather patch to help with comfort and grip.
The PCTG tank is also somewhere between a standard sub-ohm option and pod, not looking much like a pod but with an opening at the bottom to replace the coil and a pod-like spot for refilling too. It has a 4.5ml capacity, right up there with most sub ohm tanks on the market.
The Drag S has a 2500 mAh built-in battery, with a maximum power output of 60 W. It comes with two coils, one 0.3ohm and one 0.2ohm option, with adjustable airflow so you can really get the sort of draw and performance you want. It’s also compatible with any PnP coil, including the RBA head, which is a rare find in a pod-style e-cigarette.
At first glance, the new Vaporesso Xros is yet another pen-style pod system. It’s a very popular format, probably the most popular for vape pods, but this one is slightly larger than most, because of the high-capacity battery inside. The Vaporesso Xros is made primarily of stainless steel, measures 112mm x 23mm x 13mm, and comes in a variety of colors, from brushed stainless steel, to Sky Blue (a grey to turquoise gradient).
Like the original VooPoo Vinci pod mod, the Xros features both manual and automatic battery activation, so you do have a round, metallic fire button sitting almost flush with the battery, but you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to. The Vaporesso Xros is hands down the best MTL-focused pod system I’ve used this years, and one of the best ever. It just does so many things right, from the integrated airflow control, to the impressive battery capacity and the chosen resistances for the mesh coils. People are already calling it a Caliburn killer, but I think that is limiting the potential of this device. As popular as the Uwell Caliburn has been in the last year or so, it wasn’t nearly as advanced as the Xros is.
So if you’re looking for a truly customizable mouth-to-lung vaping experience, you’ll have a very, very hard time finding a better pod system than the Vaporesso Xross.
5.VooPoo Drag X Pod Mod Starter Kit
VOOPOO DRAG X is the crowned king of pod systems, and is the next popular DRAG series from VOOPOO. The DRAG X features a durable and stylish design made of zinc alloy with leather handles, variable power up to 80W, compatible VOOPOO PnP coils, and intuitive GENE.TT chipset.
The DRAG X is powered by a single 18650 battery (not included) and comes equipped with a 4.5ml magnetized pod and two PnP coils. The device offers many features including automatic coil recognition, rapid 2A USB-C charging, a full suite of protections, and a new SCORE mode which tracks and compiles your vaping actions. The DRAG X pod system also features 180 degree airflow channels to adjust your airflow resistance.
6.Eleaf iStick Power 2 with GTL Pod Kit
The iStick Power 2 takes the original design and elevates it to new levels. With a smooth metal body and soft material grip that wraps around it, the iStick Power 2 is a looker.
The screen has been given a big upgrade during this 4 years, with a crisp, bright display. The updated UI looks good and browsing through the menu was quick and convenient. The switch to using color also does a surprising job of making everything ‘pop’ out a little more.
The 510 connection is sturdy, and moving down to the USB-C port everything looks incredibly well built. It is clear to see that Eleaf has made some consumer-friendly quality of life updates to this device. It has a unique airflow that is adjusted by simply rotating the pod, making it easier than ever to use.
There’s no doubt about it, the iStick Power 2 is a beautifully designed product, and hope everybody knows it.
7.Uwell Caliburn G2 Pod System Kit
The Caliburn G2 is released from Uwell and seeks to improve on the previous stellar performance of the Caliburn G. It also looks suspiciously similar to the Caliburn A2, The first thing I noticed when I unboxed the G2 is that it feels like a hybrid of the original G and the Caliburn A2, but there are differences. You just have to look a little closer to see them.
The sides are textured while the front and back are smooth. As far as dimensions go, it falls right between these two. And even the mouthpiece follows suit—it is similar in size to the mouthpiece of the G but curvy and comfortable like the A2’s mouthpiece.
The one thing that, thankfully, the G2 does different, is the juice window. This time the window is visible from both sides, so checking juice levels is easier than ever. This was one of the main issues I had with the original and its tiny cut-off at the side, and even with the A2 and KOKO 2, both of which had the window visible only on one side.
The pods are also redesigned to allow for airflow adjustability, which is a huge upgrade in my book. This makes them incompatible with the original G—and every other Caliburn for that matter. The pods click in place and don’t use magnets, but if it’s any consolation to those who like fiddling with magnetic pods, the device vibrates every time you insert a pod.
All in all, the G2 is built well and looks great—and that’s especially true for their signature blue-purple-pink color option. From a build quality and design perspective, it feels like an updated A2, which was the best Caliburn to begin with.
8.GeekVape L200 Aegis Legend 2 with Zeus Kit
The Geekvape Aegis Legend 2 is from long-time popular e-cigarette manufacturer Geekvape. By now most vapers know who they are as they’ve made some great products over the years. Too many to list here, but they’re a very solid and reliable company overall. The L200 is the latest in a long line of Aegis products that started with the original Legend—one of the first, if not the first IP67 water and shock-resistant vape mod.
Since then, they have had many products in that line, with the most recent being the Aegis Legend is the line of Aegis pods. The L200 has a lot of similarities to the original Legend, but it is now IP68 rated for extra durability. It’s a 200-watt rated mod with a dual-18650 battery configuration and comes in a kit with the Z sub ohm tank.
9.Joyetech eGo Pod AST Version Kit
The Joyetech EGO Pod AST is an update to the existing EGO pod kit. You may be thinking this preview is a bit of “Deja Vu” but there are some changes to the AST version. The most obvious alteration is to the e-liquid viewing window which has increased in size for this version. The second noticeable change is to the size of the kit – the original EGO pod was 19x98mm whereas the AST version is taller at 19x103mm. Another big update is to the type of coils used – this has a fixed coil pod–meaning when the coil performance has deteriorated over time the plastic pod is discarded and replaced.
The coil used is the new AST mesh which stands for Austenitic Stainless Steel which apparently gives a longer coil lifespan and greater flavour. Joyetech specify the coil life is apparently 20 refills on the AST coil compared to the 7 refills stated for the original version.
As for the actual device this has no adjustments or buttons to contend with – you simply inhale on the mouthpiece and a sensor will trigger the device to fire up.
The Avatar IC 1.0 chipset is the same as found in the original and provides many user protections to help keep you safe.
There are 4 colour options to choose from: Sapphire Blue, Fuchsia Pink, Jungle Green and Metal Black.
The SMOK NORD X Kit takes the highly acclaimed SMOK Nord 2 Pod System and makes even it better. Maintaining the signature cobra-plated, carbon fiber and fluid resin panels, the SMOK NORD X Pod Kit offers phenomenal handling with compact size and weighted feel for an amazing in-hand vape experience. In addition the NORD X is equipped with a IP67 rating, preventing the intrusion of dust and water.
The NORD X features a newly added 0.69″OLED Screen, an upgraded long-lasting 1500mAh rechargeable battery, adjustable 5-60W range, IP67 Intrustion rating and the ability to use the RPM & RPM 2 Coil Series. Featuring a new 6mL refillable cartridge design that’s compatible with RPM and RPM 2 Coils. This offers users with an array of different coil options to suit all vaping preferences. The rechargeable 1500mAh internal battery offers one of the bigger capacities in the pod system segment, activated via a single-button with the ability to deliver up to 60W of power.
The Smok Nord X Kit stands at approximately 100mm x 31mm x 23mm, which is compact and portable. The ergonomic design fits my hand properly and is very convenient to carry. The body of Smok Nord X Kit is manufactured out of Zinc Alloy that gives durability. The construction of Smok Nord X Kit is pretty good and the machining is truly top-notch. In simpler words, Nord X, albeit small, is glittered with an elegant, luxurious feel.
